Probably the most well know of all educational
financial aid programs have found has been through Federal Education Grants. There is literally millions of dollars given out each and every
year to aspiring students wanting to continue their education.
While most people have heard of Federal education grants before, they really don’t know about all
of the programs that are out there. Most of the people I talk to only know about the Federal Pell Grant, which is also a great program. The
problem is that so many people already apply for it which makes it tough to get any money.
Here is just a couple of the lesser known Federal
Education Grants that we have used with great success:
National Merit Scholarship Program – For over a half a
century, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation has been a leader in identifying scholastically talented young women and men a supporting
their educational goals. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship
qualifying test.
National SMART Grant - The SMART
grant program is for full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled in
the third or fourth year of undergraduate study.
The award is for up to $4,000 for each of the third and fourth years.
These two Federal education grants can be a huge help for paying for college with relatively
little or no competition. However, the key to getting any education grant or scholarship is knowing the correct places to look and how to
apply. Fortunately, we have found a great source that lets you do this all in one
place.
